What to watch on TV tonight: Wednesday

Here are the shows that will be on your Twitter timeline this evening.

DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

The Restaurant (TV3, 9pm)

Rory Cowan of Mrs Brown’s Boys is first up in the new series of The Restaurant, taking the reins at new judge Marco Pierre White’s eatery in Donnybrook. This episode promises clashes galore between White and critic Tom Doorley. *rubs hands together* #therestaurant

1916 (RTÉ One, 9.35pm)

Liam Neeson (the Big Fella himself) narrates this three-part documentary series on the 1916 Rising, putting it in global context. Tonight’s episode examines the lead up to the rebellion.

How To Die: Simon’s Choice (BBC2, 9pm)

Another hard-hitting documentary on the menu tonight, this one looking at the controversial topic of assisted suicide. Businessman Simon Binner was diagnosed with an aggressive form of motor neurone disease in 2015, and decided to end his life before his terminal illness did. #SimonsChoice

Everybody’s talking about: #HouseOfCards

The brilliantly-named Snollygoster Productions has created a version of the House of Cards opening credits, set in Dublin. It looks every bit as imposing as Washington DC (sort of). Take a look!
